2010 Goals ~ January

I spent a few days thinking about New Years resolutions and such. I realized they are similar to last year - lose 10 pounds, get more exercise, eat healthy, etc, etc. So I revised and came up with "Keeping My Life Simple". Sounds good right? yeah, I thought so too. I'll revise my goals monthly and keep you updated. These are my simple goals for January 2010~

1. Menu Plan ~ I'll participate in the Menu Plan Monday with Money Saving Mom and the rest of the bloggers. You may just find a copy cat recipe I found on one of these sights. I'll also be participating in the Jentzen Franklin Daniel Fast this year which runs from Jan.10-31st. So most of the menus listed will be for the kids while the Hubby and I will eat something different.

2. Keep the House Clean ~ I'll be following Flylady weekly. If you haven't seen her sight yet you can visit at www.flylady.net.

3. Build Up the Pantry ~ I'll be building up my pantry. I now realize the importance of keeping a well stocked pantry. You just never know!!! While most bloggers are participating in the Pantry Challenge, I'll be building mine back up.

4. Increase Income ~ After crunching numbers, I'll need to make $500 a month to pay off the last six medical bills by June 30th. If you haven't guessed, we have a PPO medical plan that applies just about everything to the deductible. This leaves us with a high out of pocket cost. I'll do this with working my 3 part-time jobs and some snowflakes.

5. Procrastination List ~ I'll be making a list of items of things I always seem to procrastinate on and finally check them off the list. Here is a sample of the silly little things I seem to always put off...
a)sew the tear in our bed comforter
b)hang the picture on the wall
c) find life insurance
d) find dental insurance
e) make a pantry/shopping list

6. Get Closer to God ~ Most importantly, I want to become the person God wants me to be. I'm not sure who that is exactly but know I need to become closer to Him to find out his plans for me. I'll be visiting a women's prison this month as part of our church's Prison Ministry and I know that will be an eye opener.

As always, I'm working on becoming a better Mom and Wife. I know if I can tackle the above list, it will help me in these areas as well.
